No Flyers, Please!
This eco-friendly change should have been easy but I spent a lot of time overthinking it. I pictured the “no flyers sign” being made by a label maker, which I don’t have. I kept putting off this swap mainly because I wanted the sign to look a certain way.
When I was visiting my mom’s condo building, I noticed that a few of the mailboxes had “no flyers” signs. Some of the signs are made by a label maker, but others are hand written.
When we moved to our new house, we started getting more flyers than our old house. I am guessing it’s because our new area is considered to have more disposable income then our previous neighbourhood.
Finally, I decided to write out a note on white paper and tape it on with packing tape. I figure that I can replace it with a new sign (maybe with a label maker sign) if/when that is necessary. I just posted the sign yesterday, so I’m not sure yet whether it’ll make a big difference with the number of flyers we receive.
Do you have a “no flyers” sign? Do you still receive flyers anyways? Let me know about your experience via contact page.
